We hereby inform that Unibaltic Shipping Ltd. have concluded the preventive contract with Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen S.A. (hereinafter referred to as the “PZU S.A.”) with its seats in Warsaw (Poland) on 25th November 2020.

Based on the agreement, PZU S.A. agreed to finance preventive tasks carried out by Unibaltic Shipping Ltd. with the gross amount of PLN 90,000.00. This sum will be spent on improving safety of company’s fleet and preventing accidents in maritime transport, by purchasing and installing specialized equipment on ships monitoring their movement and security. The parties agreed that the grant amount will be used for purchase of the following devices:

X-Band JRC radar - used to detect and track surface and land objects during maneuvers and sea voyages,
ultrasonic wind sensor - used to analyze the strength and direction of the wind to avoid collisions with other ships and hydrotechnical facilities and during maneuvering a ship while mooring,
speed log. - used for current speed control of the ship, especially in storm conditions.
